Memory loop is a performance on camera examining the dynamic nature of memory as well as the role of different mnemonic objects from personal archives to mass-produced souvenirs in its preservation, reconstruction and/or destruction. A collection of tourist fridge magnets is repositioned in space and interacts with audio archives full of memories in an endless sonic loop. The interaction between magnets and magnetic tape distorts and erases the documented sounds. As a result, each playback consists of a different assemblage of memory fragments.
